Need help with BuyMyTicket? Here are answers to common customer and organiser questions.

Customer Help

1. How do I buy a ticket?

Choose an event, select your ticket type and quantity, enter your details, and complete payment. Once payment is confirmed, your ticket will be issued digitally.

2. Where do I find my ticket?

Your ticket may be emailed to the address used during checkout. You may also be able to access tickets through your BuyMyTicket account, depending on the event and system settings.

3. I did not receive my ticket. What should I do?

First check your spam, junk, promotions or updates folder.

If you still cannot find it, contact BuyMyTicket with your name, email address used for the purchase, event name and proof of payment if available.

4. Can I show my ticket on my phone?

Yes, unless the event specifically says otherwise. Make sure your screen brightness is high enough and the QR code is clearly visible.

5. Can I print my ticket?

Yes, printed tickets may be accepted where the QR code is clear and readable.

6. What happens if my ticket says already used?

A ticket usually becomes marked as used after it has been scanned and accepted at the event entrance.

If your ticket shows as already used and you believe this is incorrect, speak to the gate team immediately or contact BuyMyTicket support. Do not share your ticket with others, as the first valid scan may be accepted.

7. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

This depends on the event rules. Some events may allow ticket transfer, while others may require the ticket holder’s name or ID to match.

Check the event details or contact support.

8. Can I get a refund?

Refunds depend on the BuyMyTicket Refund Policy, the organiser’s event-specific rules and applicable law.

Tickets are generally not automatically refundable because you can no longer attend, bought the wrong ticket, arrived late or failed to meet entry requirements.

9. What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, BuyMyTicket will work with the organiser to confirm the next steps. This may include a refund, transfer, replacement ticket, credit or another organiser-approved arrangement.

10. What happens if an event is postponed?

Your ticket may remain valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, contact BuyMyTicket and we will assist according to the organiser’s policy.

Event Listings and Organisers

11. How do I list a free event?

Go to the List Your Event page and submit your event details. Free listings are reviewed before being published on the What’s On page.

12. What events can be listed for free?

Free listings are suitable for public events such as markets, community days, expos, festivals, shows, food events, family days, motorsport events, school events, charity events and other local experiences.

BuyMyTicket may reject listings that are incomplete, misleading, inappropriate, illegal or unsuitable.

13. How do I sell tickets through BuyMyTicket?

Visit the Organisers page and complete the Event Partner Application. BuyMyTicket will review your details and contact you about setting up ticket sales.

14. Can BuyMyTicket help with gate scanning?

Yes. BuyMyTicket supports QR ticket scanning for event entry, helping organisers reduce manual lists and duplicate ticket issues.
